I glanced at Zoe in the mirror just in time to see her shrug, “I think Keeya would be the best one to ask about that. After she got her mark, she got obsessed with learning all the others.”

“I think maybe I should do the same.”

Zoe laughed aloud then and chuckled, almost to herself. “At this rate, you will be a walking book of divinity marks.”

I think I already am.

Even as the thought came to me, I felt the marks on my back beginning to tingle.

“I should probably get cleaned up,” I suggested.

Taking the hint, Zoe nodded and left me to it.

“Hurry up. We’ve got a lot to discuss, and I think I might actually be able to get a little nap in tonight now knowing that you aren’t actually dead,” she said just before closing the door

After my shower, I felt the best I had in two days. Or was it technically nine days?
