Daniel blushed again. “Stop it!”
Matt let his laughter subside and shook his head. “Do it before it’s too late.”
Daniel looked at him. “I have to think about it.”
“But you love him!”
“I love my pride, too!”

“What are you doing here?” Gabriel asked Alex, stopping his race from the pool.
“I need air.”
“We’re outside, genius. Breathe and you’ll get as much air as you need.”
“It’s not enough.”
“Unfortunately, I don’t think there is a wind tunnel here, you know? You’ll have to settle for common air.”
Kevin was giggling, probably because Alex was as red as a pepper.
“Why are you running?” he asked then.
Alex took a deep breath. “He stripped off his shirt. He’s beautiful. And every time…I don’t know what to say. I get the words stuck in my mouth. And I have this stupid fear if I show what I feel, I’ll be rejected like when I was a kid. I don’t want him to laugh at me.”
