“Agreed. Okay, unless there’s anything else you can think of, Ian, we need to start planning based on what we know so far.”


“I wish we knew for certain that’s where Steve has Nicky, before we go much further,” Rob said, glancing at Duff as he did.


I knew why Rob looked at Duff. Being a shifter, Duff is able to teleport. It might be worth our while for him to do that, and soon. The problem is, with Ian here…I started to suggest we save the planning phase until morning, but Duff had other ideas.


“I have a friend in Monte Vista…You remember me talking about Willard?” He never had, but we played along and nodded. “Anyway, he’s got two drones he uses for his surveying company. Maybe I can convince him to fly one of them over the lodge. If I catch him now, it’s early enough there that it’s still light out. I’ll be right back.”
