Chapter 63

Sometime during the night, Brian had made his way into his bed and Matt had woken up with Brian’s arm wrapped tightly around him, just like countless mornings when they were younger before they just stopped…doing that anymore. He’d lain there, secure in his brother’s firm grip, feeling the heat coming from his Brian’s limb, warming him up from the inside out. Brian’s steady breathing had lulled him back into a fitful sleep for a few minutes, but he soon woken up from the warm arm dislodging from around him as Brian slipped silently from the bed and made his way back to his own bedroom.

“We don’t need to sit with Lex or Marty, can be just the two of us.” Matt was pleading, but he didn’t care. He didn’t feel the need to hide his emotions from his brother and didn’t care if he showed him just how freaked out he was.
