Why did it have to be so damn hardbetween them?

He thought Geoff wouldn’t answer, and was about to say the hell with it and shrug it off—being friends was better than being nothing at all, he’d take anything he could from Geoff, even if it wasn’t what he wanted, even if it wasn’t enough by half—when Geoff took his hand again. Geoff’s grip was tighter this time, insistent. He came closer, too close, and before Larry could think to step back or move away or do anything, anything at all, Geoff’s mouth covered his in a hungry kiss that erased any confusion about what they might now be to each other.
