Chapter 21

Levin continued, “The inspector is over there right now. But you’ve kept the house in such good shape, I’m sure there won’t be a problem.”

Josh clenched his teeth. So much for tricking the inspector. “Isn’t there anything I can do? I have to have the house.”

Levin sighed. “Well, the buyers are coming to my shop on Saturday to sign off on the final papers. If you want, you can come and talk to them. But before I let you try to quash this deal, I’d want some guarantees from you.”

Josh’s pulse quickened. He still had a chance. “Just tell me what you need, I’ll get it.”

“Okay. I need a signed purchase offer from you along with a pre-approval for a mortgage, proof of income, bank statements, a credit report, and some earnest money.”

Josh’s head was spinning. Did he have enough time to get all that before Saturday? He’d damn well better. “Fine. I’ll do it. I’ll bring everything on Saturday.”
