They parked by the fallen trees that blocked the road, a few hundred yards from the cabin. Griffin didn’t attempt to hide the car with the large branches as he had before. “Because we want him to know he’s in the right place.”

“Says you,” Daniel muttered, despite the fact that was their plan.

From there, they toted their purchases and Daniel’s things the rest of the way to the cabin.

“You need to get a teleporter,” Daniel grumbled, putting one of the grocery bags on the kitchen counter, then depositing his things by the sofa in the living room.

“There are times when I agree,” Griffin replied with a grin. He put the food away, swearing to get rid of it as soon as possible. “Canned goods are a blight on civilization. And frozen dinners should be outlawed on general principals.”

“We had to make it look realistic,” Daniel told him, patting his back.

“Not that he was in the store, watching us, but I guess you’re right.”

Daniel nodded. “Now we wait, and hope he took the bait.”
