Chapter 19

A minute later he opened the door. Holy shit, he’s a wet dream come to life.

Ewan, presuming it was him and Noah hoped it was, smiled. He was around six foot with dark hair and intense, almost aqua, eyes. The tight jeans and tank-top he wore left little to the imagination, which was fine with Noah. The body they covered was pretty damned sensational in his estimation.

“Umm, yeah, sure,” Noah stuttered, stepping aside. “I mean if you’re Ewan. Or hell, even if you aren’t.”

“I am,” Ewan replied, grinning. “And unless I’m at the wrong apartment, you’re Noah. Nice to meet you.” He held out his hand.

“You, too,” Noah replied as they shook. “Umm, have a seat?”

Ewan laughed as he walked the few steps to the sofa. “Am I making you nervous?”

“Well…yeah. And worried. What’s the message? Arik decided he doesn’t need me to work at the diner after all?”

“Not even. He wants me to take you to meet him, since he doesn’t have a car.”
