Chapter 30

“W-wait!” Giorgio grunted as he was pulled along the sidewalk. Kord didn’t listen and kept dragging.

“Let’s see what he has to say,” Doyle said, still playing good cop.

“We can do that down at the station. This guy doesn’t like being cooperative. Maybe a little time downtown will soften him up.”

“S-soften? What’re you gonna do? I told you his name. W-what more do you want?”

“Listen, you fat piece of shit, you know damned well where your boyfriend is. We want a location. Now.” Kord shook the man’s arm so hard he yelped.

“Center City. Right in the gayborhood. His brother just bought a house and Tim is helping to rehab it.”

“Address?” Doyle said.

After they dropped Giorgio off at the station, they walked to the address he’d given them.

“That was one unhappy guy,” Kord said.

“Well, we did say we wouldn’t take him in.”
