Chapter 106

Sean glanced up, signaling for Mars to stay well behind him. Then he inched closer, turning on the jammer to knock out the camera and motion sensor concealed behind what looked like a normal light fixture above the rear entryway to the jewelry store. Then he scanned for any other possible devices. Satisfied there were none, he went to work on the door. Within moments he had it open and the alarm turned off.

From there, after using the jammer to take care of the interior security, it was an easy job for Sean and Mars to make their way to the back room where they knew—thanks to Ken’s hacking skills—the jewelry safe was located.

While Mars stood guard, Sean broke into the safe, filling the bag he was carrying with the most expensive of the necklaces, bracelets, and rings.

Ten minutes later—Sean knew because he had timed the whole operation—they were back at the car.

“Two down, one to go,” Mars said, pulling off the ski mask he was wearing.
