Chapter 25

He picked at the pepperoni on the remaining pizza slices for a bit, then decided to use Marty’s laptop to import some of the inventory files to the new website. All of the files containing the products Marty wanted to sell online were in a separate folder, which Rick had copied onto a flash drive and taken home with him. Fortunately the code he’d written wouldn’t allow for duplicate products with the same UPC number to be uploaded, so he didn’t have to remember which files he already imported.

Before long he was lost in the work again, getting into the rhythm as everything else faded into background noise. It wasn’t until Marty sank onto the stool beside him some time later that Rick looked up from the screen with a grin. “Finally wore you out, huh?” he asked.

“Your boy sure knows his Pokémon, I’ll give him that,” Marty said. “We could go all night.”

Rick glanced at the computer’s clock, then at the import queue. The current file was almost done…”Wait, is it quarter after nine?”
