Chapter 53

“Because we can quickly erase whatever one of you has said, since no one knows you exist,” Mike replied. “This is for us, only, not for anyone else who might be around and trying to peer over his shoulder.”

“I will be taking notes on the interviews, too,” Sage said. He grinned. “Exactly like a real detective.”

“Okay, if everyone’s ready, let’s do this.” Mike started toward the back door of the theater, next to the roll-up loading dock door. It opened onto the scene shop as well, and was the one people entering from the parking lot used.

The reaction, when the three guys already there and working saw Mike, was mixed, to say the least. Two of them questioned, loudly enough to be heard from across the room, “Why’s he back again?” They didn’t sound particularly happy about it.
