Chapter 66

I stuck with Tommy until he called a halt for the day. As far as I could tell, he didn’t seem the least bit interested in anything other than making certain the technical part of the show ran perfectly for the next two rehearsals. There were not subtle glares in anyone’s direction, no hateful looks. There hadn’t been during the rehearsal, either, that I’d seen.

Brody and Jon had already left by the time I took off for home. When I got there, we went over what we’d learned, or to be more precise, hadn’t learned.

“Janice and Tim seem to be getting along just fine, now,” Brody told us, getting a nod of agreement from Jon. “Elaine is definitely a gossip. She was telling one of the other actresses about seeing Alan Sunday night with some chick who, as she put it, looked half his age.”
