Kiko opened his mouth.
“Never mind,” said Dom before Kiko could speak. “See you back in Mount Angus.”

Kiko tried to think about Sarah’s murder on the way back to Yolks on You and not Dom’s reaction to his café comment, but failed. Dom had really been disgruntled Kiko hadn’t included him in the future plans. Kiko didn’t know what to think of that; he was touched Dom saw them long-term finally, yet frustrated that Dom didn’t see the business as Kiko’s. The worst of it was that he didn’t particularly want to discuss the subject with Dom. Luckily, there was murder for that.
“How’d it go?” asked Katie when he got in. Dom followed and shrugged off his coat.
“Good, I’d say,” said Kiko. Dom shot him a look.
“Does she know?”
“That you were following a lead?” asked Katie, laughing. “Or were you up to something else? I don’t like it when people keep secrets from me.”
