He pressed a button on his wrist. A tiny, flat flash drive ejected outward. Everything in the office had been emptied out, everything on the desks as well, but the computer was huge, obviously capable of churning out massive quantities of data, of taking massive amounts in. Perhaps the previous occupants left in a hurry, and something that big had to be left behind. Or, more than likely, it’d been wiped clean, the hardware not worth the effort to remove. Either way, Craig said it was a shot, to see if any data remained.

“Give me ten minutes,” he said as he pressed a button on his other wrist. I stared at what sprung out. “Old computer,” he then explained. “No USB ports. This will enable the transfer. In any case, if some sort of information remains, I’ll download it, take it home, see if you’re mentioned.”
