I shook my head. “No. There’s also Simon and Doug. So, there’s four of us now.” A light bulb suddenly burned above my head, bright enough to singe the hairs that stood up on my neck. “The Fierce Force,” I said.

He pushed himself up onto his elbows. “Like the Justice League?”

I blinked. I smiled. “No invisible jets or a dude who can talk with the fish, but yeah, like that.”

“Like that,” he repeated. “Yeah, I like that, being part of something bigger than myself, being a part of, well, you.”

And that’s how it happened, how the four of us became parts to a whole.

See, I told you that the Lord works in mysterious ways. Guess he must have a sense of humor, too, considering which four parts he chose.
