Chapter 74

In other words, not fifteen minutes later, I was locked up in a rather cramped four-foot by four-foot cage, give or take a foot, shouting, “Help!”

Yep, like I said, it was a great way to start a story. Sadly, for me, it was a pretty shitty way to end one.

“Help!” I shouted again, only, now, several hours had passed. But who was I shouting for? No one knew where I was. Heck, I didn’t even know where I was. I was blindfolded after they took me out of the limo. All I could smell were the goons and what passed for common everyday house scents, but nothing to give me any clues as to my whereabouts. Now, I was in a cage in an empty room.

Poor Todd, I thought. He’d come home and find me missing. He’d call the others. They’d all be worried. Eventually, my body would turn up. I felt so sad for them, for me, for my family. They’d never even know the truth. Even worse, other babies would be bred like me, used by the military, with no choice in the matter.
