“Ah, okay. Yeah, I do need to do that, I guess.”
“Definitely. The Marshals Service only provides a small subsistence payment. If you want to be eating more than instant noodles, and have new clothes or what have you, you need a job.”
Lou looked around when they got to Walter’s place, saying with a bit of a grin, “Not as nice as mine.”
“Since I’m not going to be here for long, I don’t need all the bells and whistles,” Walter replied. He sat down at the table and opened the laptop sitting there. Lou pulled up a chair beside him so he could see what Walter was doing.
“Do you think there really are places out there that need a good electronics repair person?” Lou asked.
“Are you kidding?” Walter brought up one of the major job-search sites, entered the keywords, then they both watched as the page opened.
