Chapter 29

“Don’t worry. They’re harmless.”

“I’m bringing those brownies you love so much.”

“Oh?” My poor stomach flip-flopped at the mere mention of food. Even chocolate sounded bad right now.“Greg told you about that, did he?

“Nope. Wes mentioned it.”

Interesting. I knew Wes spoke with his family at least a couple times each week, but still, I wouldn’t have thought his sister would know that much about me. Although I supposed a general description and the fact I’d eaten more than my fair share of his brownies wasn’t really that much. It probably only seemed that way compared to how much I’d told my parents about Wes. I pressed a hand to my stomach and swallowed.

“Hey.” Greg caught my eye in the rearview mirror. “Give me notice if you’re gonna puke so I can pull over.”

“Sure. Not gonna barf in your car.” I wasn’t going to vomit at all. It was just a nervous stomach. I wasn’t ill.
