Chapter 6

The man approached him slowly, cupping Crevyn’s head in a strong hand and tilting it to the perfect angle. Their mouths brushed lightly, then were pressed more firmly together. At the lick across his lips, Crevyn opened them and accepted the tongue that swept imperially inside.

His body tingled from his scalp to his toes, and Crevyn clutched the man more tightly. As they parted, regret crashed over him, but the man stepped away with a shake of his head.

“Go quickly.”

For a few seconds, Crevyn thought to argue, but the importance of the challenge came to mind. With a nod to his benefactor, Crevyn dashed through the door he indicated. At the back of the house was a stable. Going inside Crevyn spotted a magnificent golden mare. The horse snorted and tossed her head, but Crevyn smiled and approached her slowly.
