The rescuer appeared through the trees again, bursting through the bushes. He carried a contraption in each hand, containers that held fresh seawater. As soon as Sartin saw him, his stomach churned. Every bite he had taken swirled in his stomach. Sartin leaned over and heaved.
The nausea ceased after expelling the morning meal. Moisture formed on his face and his upper body, and dizziness set in. Although rare for a Sea Person to vomit, at least when they did it in the sea they wereable to swim away. Sartin grabbed some leaves and covered the mess.
The land person did something to the pool at the end near Sartin’s fluke, and the dirty seawater drained away. He took one of the containers of water and poured it over his tail. When he lifted the second jug, Sartin guided it over his head.
A tingle traveled down Sartin’s spine as he tilted his head back and, closed his eyes. Sartin held the land person in place. The seawater flowed over his face and down his torso.
