“Many thanks,” Castien mouthed.

“Think nothing of it. Growling stomachs will keep all of us awake and I believe we should all get a good night’s sleep so our minds are sharp in the morning.”

“Then you will join with us?”

“I believe so though I have not yet definitely made up my mind.”

Castien nodded, took a bite of the stew, and signed it was excellent.

Theirn thought so as well, although at that point he would have eaten it no matter what. It had been more than a day since he’d had anything other than water in his stomach. Their plan to live off the fruits of the land during their journey had been thrown awry by the destruction wrought by the prince.
