A happy sigh escaped me. I loved that he was so open with his feelings, didn’t hide anything, and didn’t hesitate to touch me, not even in front of Jackson, who usually had a reserved look on his face when subjected to our PDA.

But not today. “Your boyfriend baked treats for the dogs.” He smiled at Liam, a real, wide smile. Maybe I’d get one of those, too, one day.

“Babe! That’s awesome!” Liam grabbed a biscuit and devoured it in two quick bites. “Mmm. Yummy.”

My eyes widened. They didn’t contain anything weird or unsuitable for human consumption, but most people would at least be a little weary before gobbling down dog treats. But not Liam. So typical of him to do something without thinking first.
