He stared out the side window and wondered how the hell he could live in the same small town with Donovan and not go insane with longing.

When the mating season wanes, it’ll get better. Just a little more time. Then the newness will wear off and I won’t be hot to trot after him all the damn day.

His inner grizzly snorted.

The sound plucked TJ’s irritability nerve.

“So?”

“So, what?”

Donovan steered the classic car with ease down the nearly vacant road. “So, how was it for you?”

TJ rubbed his forehead. “I thought women were the ones that had all the insecurity questions the morning after.”

“Humor me.” Donovan spared him a quick glance.

It was the best I’ve ever had. Totally earth-shattering. And way too addictive.TJ bit back the truth. To open that Pandora’s Box would release all kinds of issues, most of which he didn’t dare visit. “It was great. But you knew that already.”

Donovan grinned. “Well, yeah. That roar was classic.”
