“Come…we cannot afford to be slug-a-beds. There’s much to be done. We’ll break our fast and then begin.”

Although Driz could visualize a number of ways that being a slug-a-bed could be pleasant, he sensed he’d better obey with alacrity. Even while Cory’s careless touch, hardly a caress, still sang through his nerves, it appeared the other was only willing to tease—for now. Still, Driz was sure he had not imagined the heat and speculation in the other man’s gaze, interest much more than casual. He could be patient for a while. With a shake of his head, he tried to banish some decidedly lascivious notions. They had gotten him into trouble at school. Repeating the error could harm his new prospects, and that he would not do. He’d be wise to let his master set the ground rules and enforce them, too
