“I was packing,” I murmured against his lips.


“We have plenty of time for that later.” Sawyer tenderly touched my cheek and gave me a soft smile. His voice held no censure or rebuke. When he made sure he had my attention, he continued. “Wade took the day off to be with us. We leave in the morning. And none of us want to be apart. So we should make the most of this day together, yeah?”


For a moment, emotion threatened to overwhelm me. But I choked it back so I could speak. “You’re right.”


Sawyer kissed my cheek, then smooshed his face against mine so he was facing Wade as well. “He’s got a need to organize, plan, and preplan. And prepack. It drives me nuts. It’ll probably drive you nuts, too.”
