Chapter 30

“Yeah, I guess,” Dean answered. “My God, it’s ninety-three dollars! You would pay that much for a shirt?”

“Yeah, if I really like it. How about this tie to go with it?”

“Put the shirt down and step away from the counter,” Dean commanded. “I’m sure you don’t need that shirt that bad. I’ll bet you already have a lot of clothes.”

“You got that right. When my mother was alive, she used to get mad at me because I would run out of room in my own closet and I would sneak hangers of stuff into hers.”

“Seriously? You’ve never moved a number of times, from apartment to apartment, as the rent keeps going up, like I have. It’s a great motivation not to own too much because you have to move all of it every few years.”

“No, I’ve lived in my house all my life. I’ve never moved. I still have my model trains from when I was a kid.”

“So if we ever move in together, where am I going to put my stuff?”
