“Hey, you two.” Nash stood by our booth, removing his scarf. He wore a denim jacket over a dark blue tee and looked great in his fitted black jeans. He slipped into the seat, sliding close to me and then kissed my cheek. “Hello, gorgeous.”


His presence lifted my spirits and I messed up his hair. “Where are your glasses?”


“Got contacts this week.” He cleared his throat and looked at Lou. “Honestly, what do you think? Yes? No?”


She winked at him. “I like both. But you look good right now. Real good.”


“Tease.” Lou laughed and then gave me a probing look. “So…Micah, what were you saying about Nathaniel?”


Nash immediately frowned at me. “Who’s Nathaniel?” he asked, suspiciously.
