Three young men from very different homes, just coming into their own sexuality, bond at a time when information about homosexuality is scarce to the average teen. “I get it,” Tucker said. “You want to help. But look, I have help.” Tucker jerked his thumb toward Chad, and then rolled his eyes. “Knowing you are safe and dry, Livvie, will take a huge load off my mind. And…I need you to be in charge of the safe zone. I need you to keep the others calm. You’re so good at that.” He touched her cheek tenderly. “We’ll be back and forth, dropping off the critters in harm’s way. They’ll be upset, forced out of their element. Comfort them, okay?” There was a deeper alcove behind them that Zeb and Bunny had already entered. “See, Livvie?” Tucker’s voice was calm and loving, a tone he used to use with Chad as well. “Bunny and Zeb are nervous. They need you, and I need you to be safe.”


The lady looked to Chad and started to speak.
