“Yes, sir, that is me,” I stated while looking for the necessary forms. “You’ll have to excuse my mess, it’s been a very hectic time here.”

“No problem,” Kellan replied while reaching for my head. I was stunned for a second, but my cheeks quickly flushed again when Kellan pulled a yellow Post-It off my forehead.

“Well, hopefully you didn’t forget to call John,” he quipped as he placed the Post-It on my desk with the others.

“Please tell me that didn’t just happen?” I asked, still feeling heat from my cheeks. I could also feel my stomach burning, which meant that hiccups could be on the way.

“It did, but don’t worry, it just means that you left a lasting impression.” Man, his smile was simply infectious, even beneath that grizzly brown beard. Just the thought of it brushing against my face, kissing me all the way down my body, was sending my loins into overdrive.

“So can we do this now, or what?” Kellan asked.

“Excuse me?” I responded, slightly bewildered.
