“Because I’m attracted to you.” The absurdity of the statement had John laughing with the same tone he’d voiced his question with. “Most people just date.”

Parker shook his head and screwed his lips into a grimace of disgust. “I’m not interested in any of that.”

“In any of what?”

“The unreasonable expectations, the societal implications,” Parker waved his hand between them. “I don’t need to buy someone food or walk down the street holding hands to prove the worth of my physical attraction to somebody.”
