“How much has this derailed what happened between us on Saturday?”

“Um…I think that train is off the tracks.”

“Just because I didn’t tell you first?”

“Because you didn’t tell anybody. I don’t know what you thought you were doing, but from this side of things? It looks pretty shitty.”

“Well, from my angle, springing a ton of changes on you on my first day, without any clue how you work, or what your strengths are, would’ve been the shitty thing to do.” He tried to reach out, but when Colin took a step back, putting more distance between them, he froze for a second, then dropped his hand to his side. “That doesn’t matter to you at all, does it? This is the perfect excuse for you to run away.”
