Chapter 7

Rainn was wide-eyed to find Cyprian and Sam. “How did you know which trailer was mine?”

The men looked at each other. “Lucky guess?” Cyprian said with a weak smile.

“You’re watching me?”

Sam waved his hands in a no, no, nogesture. “There’s someone who makes deliveries here. We asked him to look for you.”

Rainn frowned. He wasn’t sure he saw much difference, but at least it wasn’t like he was under constant surveillance.

“Did you have a chance to download the drive?” Cyprian asked.

Was that all they cared about? Rainn’s anger rose. His disappointment, too. “Look, I’m trying. But it’s not that easy, and I’m risking a lot.”

Cyprian huffed. “If you’re not going to help us, we need to know now. We’re risking a lot more.”

“I’m not sure that’s true. You’re asking me to install a trojan, aren’t you?”

The three went silent. Rainn felt used. Sam grabbed his arm and rubbed it, but Rainn pulled away.
