Chapter 22

Christopher wrenched his eyes upward, only to grind to a halt on the very large hickey on Gage’s neck. Any hope he might have held that Bodie had kept his hands to himself evaporated.

“If you’re ready, we need to get going,” he said, proud that he managed to sound civil. “I need to swing by and pick up Rev.”

Gage quickly pulled on his T-shirt and scooped a backpack off the floor. “I’m ready to hit the road. I think I have everything I’ll need.”

Bodie nodded as well. “Let’s get out of here.”

“So what’s the situation with Rev?” Gage asked as they descended the stairs to the street. “Bodie tried to explain but I wasn’t really paying attention.”

Bodie laughed. “Yeah, that’s one way of describing it.”

Ignoring the way the two other men walked so closely to each other, Christopher said, “Rev has a tendency to fall for users. He finally got the nerve to leave this last one—”

“He found Emilio with these two twinks from the valley,” Bodie said.
