“I wanted to make sure everything was all right on your end. With Evan.”
The smile brightened, and damn if it didn’t make Trevor feel like Icarus—not because he’d challenged the gods, but because he was finally near the thing he loved (Icarus/Helios, he shipped it). It warmed him, and he wanted to be closer.
“Yeah. He and Rick still need to have a long talk that I hopefully won’t get dragged into, but the initial flip-out has passed.”
“Good.” And hell, Chase was right there. Trevor leaned forward and kissed him—light and brief. “So you can handle drama.”
Chase’s snort of disgust wasn’t much more than a sigh against Trevor’s lips. “Canand want toare very different. And it didn’t involve me directly, so…” Chase shrugged.
