Chapter 18

“Hello, Tony. I’m a private detective with the police, I’ve come to ask you a few questions.” Ronan shows his private investigator’s badge, before putting it away.

“And who are you? You don’t look like a cop, or a private detective,” Tony says to Dustin.

“I’m a consultant. I sometimes help police with cases. I’m here to help find Jamie. That’s all that matters right?” Dustin doesn’t want to have to explain that he’s a psychic to Tony; it’ll take up valuable time. If Dustin stopped to prove what he is to every person he meets, he’d never get anything done.

“All right, come in.” Tony steps back and lets them in, leading the way to the family room.

“Some of my questions might seem strange, and I’m going to try and not ask you too many things you’ve already been asked—your answers are on file. I know it must be frustrating to be asked the same questions over and over again, when you only have the same answers to give,” Ronan says as he sits down.
