Chapter 59

“At the start of the week I didn’t even know you were gay. Besides, I owed you one.” Dustin smiles.

“Owed me one?” Ronan asks.

“A kiss,” Dustin says, and Ronan is reminded of his slip up in the motel room.

“I shouldn’t have—” Ronan starts, only to be cut off by an annoyed Dustin.

“I know, you shouldn’t have kissed me, it wasn’t professional. Do you live by the rule book?” Dustin huffs.

“I was going to say I shouldn’t have stopped,” Ronan says softly.

“You mean you regret stopping the kiss when you did?” Dustin looks surprised.

“Yes,” Ronan admits. He’s been thinking about what could have happened over and over.

“You shouldn’t regret it. I think it was the right thing, at the time. We hardly knew each other. Even though it pissed me off in the moment ,that was mainly sexual frustration talking,” Dustin explains.
