Chapter 80

It’s been three weeks since he saw Chris at the hospital, and unsurprisingly, Chris hasn’t changed.

“Hello, Chris. You just have to sign a form over here,” Dustin says, putting the kittens down so he can get the form for Chris.

“You’re as bad as him. Aren’t you going to ask me how he is?” Chris asks, taking the form.

Dustin isn’t petty enough to pretend he doesn’t know who Chris means. “How is Ronan? Is he healing well?” Dustin asks.

“His leg has been healing slower than he’d like. But he’s hardly limping now. He’ll be fine. But he’s been like a wounded bear, in a terrible mood,” Chris sighs.

“Doesn’t deal well with being injured?” Dustin guesses.

“He’s been injured before, it’s not that. He’s hurt. I’m kind of hoping you’re not as stubborn as he is,” Chris says, finishing signing the form.

“What do you mean?” Dustin is confused.

“Ronan misses you. I’m hoping you’ll be willing to get in touch.” Chris looks hopeful.
