“Tell me you’re hungry,” he said when he heard Jess enter. “I feel like messing around in the kitchen.”
“I am starving.” Jesse wrapped his arms around Gideon from behind, his head resting against Gideon’s shoulder. “But I have to run out for a quick errand while you’re messing around in the kitchen.”
“Did I miss you getting home?” The heat seeping from the other man was better than the shower he’d just stepped out of. “You should’ve come and woke me up.”
“No, I just got in. I stopped by so you wouldn’t worry about me being late. Not that I think this’ll take me very long.”
“What do you need to do?”
“Go see if Foster has been hanging around the Holy Name Cathedral.”
That was unusual enough to make Gideon stop and look back at Jesse. “Did you and Michelle figure out his hiding place?”
