“If it takes you longer to show up, isn’t there some kind of ward we can use to hold Foster off for a little bit?”


“As far as I know, the only thing we have that will actually work against Foster is the hurlbat. And you can’t even touch that. There might be a way to protect you against fire, since he’s so fond of that little trick…” Jesse swallowed hard. “I don’t like this idea. At all.”


“What about trying to do something remotely? Like affecting the dimension while I’m not in shooting distance of it.”


“I don’t know if that’ll make any difference. Foster is going to want to stop you from affecting the dimension, regardless of where you are or how you’re doing it. He’ll just teleport until he finds you.”


“How about decoys? Maybe we can create multiple mes to throw him off the scent.”


“Maybe. Maybe we should talk to John about defensive options. I’m sure he’ll have a few things up his sleeve.”
