For a brief moment, Jesse worried that he’d have to fight with Dominique to leave, but almost immediately dismissed it. If he knew anything, it was that she would follow him wherever he went. She’d proven that time and time again.

“We could both use a shower,” Gideon said. He shoved his hands in his pockets and rocked slightly on his bare heels, looking vaguely uneasy. “Do you want some time alone to process all this? A place this size is going to have more than one bathroom.”

A few minutes alone certainly wouldn’t hurt. But the thought of being separated from Gideon made him more than a little uncomfortable. “No. I warned you last night I’d be clingy for a while. I meant it.”
