“I don’t understand? What are you saying?” Chogan swings around so he’s sitting on the edge of his bed, facing Eli.
“I think I’m in love with you,” Eli blurts out, then he actually covers his hand with his mouth, like he can’t believe he just said that, like he’d take back the words if he could.
“What?” Chogan can’t believe what he just heard.
“It’s…it’s complicated. The way I feel about you, it’s not exactly the same way I feel about Jayden. But there are similarities, I guess. I never thought you wanted anything serious, though, so I didn’t say anything.” Eli chews on his bottom lip again.
“So you love Jayden, but you think you might love me, too?” Chogan asks.
Eli nods slowly.
“Well, isn’t this a clusterfuck?” Chogan groans.
“Does it bother you? “ Eli asks.
