Elijah has been hunting supernatural creatures his whole life often alongside his father Joshua, who trained him from birth. Chogan takes his hand back and starts walking, smiling when Jayden trots after him, keeping close.


“I told you he liked it.” Elijah smiles, coming up on Chogan’s other side as they follow Joshua.


“No talking about him when he can’t talk back.” Chogan grins.


Jayden makes a huffing sound like he agrees.


“Oh, so now you two are ganging up on me? I see how it is.” Elijah shakes his head, laughter in his voice.


“This map is excellent. Jayden, can you smell anything?” Joshua asks.


Jayden walks forward, leaving Chogan’s side and going to Joshua’s, taking the lead.


They follow the map, walking deeply into the forest before coming to a small clearing, and there it is. Tied to a tall tree is the body of a dead man, covered in blood, his chest covered in the same marks from Jayden’s sketch and on the bathroom stall.


“Looks like Eddy was right,” Joshua says.


“Do you want to look at the body while we check the area for any other clues?” Elijah asks.
