Flushing at the fantasy, Chogan looks at the dead body tied to the tree to banish any sexual images from his head. Suddenly, he realizes what Jayden said. “You were shot?”
Jayden nods.
“More than once,” Joshua adds.
“It’s one of those things. Even though I wear a collar, people see a wild animal and they shoot. Hurts like hell, but it was never anything I couldn’t heal.” Jayden shrugs.
“Didn’t even go to hospital. Had me and dad remove the bullets. Buckshot’s harder to remove. Lots of little pieces,” Elijah says, like it isn’t a big deal that he’s pulled bullets out of Jayden.
“So you’ve been shot with a shotgun as well?” Chogan asks.
“Yep, in the ass. Didn’t scar. I’m going to head out. See you all back at the car.” Jayden walks away, and Chogan can confirm that Jayden’s ass is certainly not scarred. It’s perfect, unblemished, and firm.
They look around the area a little more. Finally, Chogan thinks he finds something. It’s a tuft of gray fur.
