“Don’t forget to eat. Don’t wait for me. I’ll grab something while I’m out,” Joshua says, and then he waves and drives off.
“Should we work in our room?” Elijah asks.
“I’ll meet you there. Just need to get my laptop,” Jayden says, and he heads for his room.
Chogan follows Elijah to their room, and they go in together, setting up, turning on lights. They leave the desk free for Jayden and each take a bed. They’ve done this before; they’re used to researching together. Chogan’s near the door when Jayden knocks, so he goes to let him in.
It’s not until Chogan is closing the door behind Jayden that the situation hits him—the three of them are in a motel room together, with no one else around. Last time they’d all been in a room together, Joshua had been there too, and it hadn’t felt weird.
But as Chogan goes to his bed and boots up his laptop, he’s painfully aware that he’s alone with two men he’s very attracted to.
“We left the desk for you,” Elijah says.
