Figure It Out

When he came back to himself, he gently pulled out of Evan and brought both of them on shaky legs over to the shower. Evan was still too blissed out to do much more than stand there smiling, but Nick counted that as a win. He hosed them both off and got them back to bed. Any more intense grooming could wait until the morning. For now, all he wanted to do was fall asleep with Evan in his arms.


He got up earlier than Evan, because he had some consulting to do as well as an early class. Besides, he wanted to call Dr. Villanueva on Luke’s behalf.


Would last night have been different if Luke had been there? He shook his head at the thought as he went about getting the coffee ready. Of course it would have been different. The dynamics of a trio were always different than the dynamics of a pair, even when sex wasn’t involved. Did it necessarily follow that things would have been betterif Luke had been there?


No. But that didn’t mean things would have been worse.
