Finally Eldin and Alithea were engaging the last two, and Tulloch didn’t even wait for them to be done before spinning around to kneel beside Harun. “Why is he bleeding fire? I’ve never seen that before.”


“It’s ‘cause he’s a fire-lion and it’s really magical here, something like that.” Kelwyn kept his hands pressing on the gash in Harun’s side, and Tulloch put his hands over Kelwyn’s. Pain seared through Kelwyn at the touch, seeming stronger than before as Tulloch sent healing magic into Harun, and with a hiss through clenched fangs Kelwyn pulled his hands back, but the seep of fire continued to slow, then stopped.
