Chapter 63

“I should get going,” Gavin said, removing his hand from Josh’s shoulder. “Dispatch called in a report of some bikers camping without a permit. Time to play friendly ranger.”

Josh hadn’t realized how much that contact meant to him until it was gone. They had so few moments together, and each time he only found his attraction to Gavin growing. There was so much more he wanted to know about the man, and so much he wished he had the courage to share with him

“You’re not leaving so soon?” Andrea said. “We should go out and celebrate a successful rescue.”

“Work first.” Gavin looked at her in the same way Josh knew he watched Gavin. “But if you want to go out for drinks later, give me a call.”

“Sounds good to me,” Andrea said, then elbowed Josh. “You in?”

Josh bit his tongue and glared at her. “Sure.”
