The horror of what Bryce had done struck him. No wonder he’d been able to defeat the others in combat. Not only had he killed Ned, but he’d also consumed his flesh. Bryce had truly given himself to the demon. So much so that he’d even killed his own mother.


“Who needs their treaty?” Bryce said. “The Amazons are nothing but weaklings and meddlers. We are many. They fear our numbers. They fear our strength. We will destroy them.”


Josh saw the concern on the faces of the elders despite the enthusiasm of some of the younger members. They must have remembered what the turbulent years were like, before Silverbane took control of the pack.
