Chapter 49

He went out to the porch and quickly grabbed the paper and ran inside. He got some cereal from the cabinet and sat down to eat his breakfast.

Two hours later Bobby came down the stairs yawning. “All you had for breakfast is cereal? Where are the bacon and eggs?”

Keith cocked his head. “Why?”

“Because you can’t go a whole day on cereal. If you don’t mind, today I’d like to go over to my apartment and get some of my things. I need my computer, my drawing table, and my cabinet. Can the Rover pull one of those U-Haul trailers?

“It can, but I think you’ll need a small truck, especially if we pick up what’s at Zach and Jason’s.”

“If I call the guys—we can empty the place in under an hour. Everything I need, I can fit in the spare office and the suite opposite yours.” Bobby pulled a pan from the pot rack and got out the bacon. Separating the bacon into slices he put eight slices on the griddle. “Do you like Swedish pancakes?”
